December Daily Album Pages 19-31

I finally finished dressing up the last pages in this album in plenty of time! Here they are…

Day 19 is a stencil sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Day 20 stamped and embossed with American Crafts Zing powder.

Day 21 I used an EK Success border punch and a strip of scrap paper.

Day 22 embossed paper

Day 23 Leftover embossed paper, scrap pattern paper and a border punch.

Day 24 Uses the same EK Success border punch. I punched it multiple times on scrap paper and glued only the sides and bottom.

Not only does it make an interesting background its useful too!

Day 25 Crocheted flower, metal flower brad and Prima flowers layered with some gems and the flourish stamp from Papertrey’s Sympathy set.

Day 26 Embossed paper.

Day 27 I used the Heidi Swapp large mask as a stencil to cut my pattern paper to fit the top and bottom of the page.

Day 28 More of those border punches layered up with a few silver flat backed gems.
Day 29 A very old scrap of paper trimmed with a little ribbon bow.
Day 30 Embossed paper

Day 31 Embossed stars using American Crafts Zing glittered powder.

I’m glad to finally have that finished and I can’t wait to fill it in this December. If you want to see all the previous pages just click here. Thanks for stopping by!

Smells like Fall & a Spinner Project

The smell of cinnamon and apples still lingers in my house. I got a fantastic deal on apples last week and could not resist buying pounds and pounds of them. Homemade applesauce, apple butter, cooked apples, apple cookies and more fill my freezer and pantry. With all the peeling, slicing and dicing I didn’t have as much time as I had hoped to create with paper and ink! I did however complete a few little projects to share with you this week.

I love the 7Gypsies spinners and I love quotes. Put the two together and you get this…

I am going to fill this spinner with as many quotes as possible. The first one I chose is by Thoreau and quite long. I started it on the front and finished it on the back.

I used Glimmer Mist and a tree mask for the front and back.

The quote I just typed out and cut apart. With a swipe of ink along the edges, a couple of gems and a silk leaf finished it off pretty quickly.
Quote
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”--Henry David Thoreau-Walden

I am off to find more quotes to add. Do you have a favorite quote to share? Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card

Sorry the blog was quite last week. I took the time to unplug and get caught up on all things laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking and taking naps! Since school has started back up I am exhausted. Now that everything is back in order hopefully this week with be all about getting my studio messy. Today I made a quick card I plan to duplicate a few for Christmas. I am still trying to keep up the momentum and get my things done early this year. This is what I came up with…

Very simple design and everything is either from my scrap drawer or my stash. I have enough to make several of this design and no new supplies needed! I love it when that happens.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are having a great Monday so far.

December Daily 2009 Inside Pages 13-18

More Christmas pages. I made a pocket page out of some scrap paper for page 13.

Page 14 is an embossed paper.

Page 15 I just used a border stamp along the bottom.

Page 16 I stamped the background with Gridlines by Papertrey Ink. I punched some circles from some scraps again and glued them on top. I love how it turned out.
Page 17 Uses a felt snowflake border I purchased last year.

It needed a little color so I filled in the centers with Stickles.

Page 18 is another embossed paper.

Only 13 more pages to work on and it will be ready for Christmas. If you want to see the rest of my December Daily just click here<=. Thank you for stopping by have a great day!

Project 365

I have not shared any of my daily photos in a while so I thought I would post a few today.
The girls have been picking me flowers this summer from the yard.

Lilies

My birthday cake which my husband creatively displayed the candles in roman numerals!

The polar bear we see every visit to the zoo. He is always doing flips in the water.

Most evenings of the past month have been spent hanging out on the porch until way past our bed times.

More Project 365 photos can be found here <= Have a great day!

Travel Binder

Every summer we bring home all these travel brochures for places we would like to visit and they always end up all over or thrown away. Then we forget all about that “cool” place we just have to visit. With all the school supplies on sale and I picked up a couple binders very cheap and decided to use one to make a super quick organizer for all those brochures. This was a quick 10 minute project.

I painted over a mask onto pattern paper and added a transparency and stamped my title.

The inside is full of pocket pages and dividers. I have several states and all the brochures filed in the appropriate pocket.

Now I have a place to collect all those brochures and plan where we would like to visit next!

If you have kids check out this site for great travel books. It is a wonderful resource for places to visit. I purchased a few including one for our own state. It had so many places we never knew were here. The books are full of those off the beaten path type places as well as the big tourist spots. Thanks for stopping by!
